The American Camera Mfg. Company, Northboro, MA was a short lived company founded by Thomas Blair in 1895 and later absorbed by Eastman Kodak in 1897, moved to Rochester, NY but Eastman used the American Camera Mfg. Co. name until around 1904. Has solid Poco embossed original handle. Still has it's celluloid badging on front standard and drop bed. Maroon bellows is free of misfolds on exterior. Shutter is a beautiful Unicum and the brass lens plate is marked Bausch & Lomb Opt. Co. Pat. Jan. 6, '91. Comes with Three 4x5 wooden plate holders.
