Description:

Royal Copley pitcher, daffodil pattern, light blue with pale yellow. Made by Spaulding China Co. in Sebring, Ohio, which operated from 1942 to 1957. Spaulding was the second largest pottery in the United States at the time. It operated around the clock producing as many as 6,000 items in a single day. Most being sold in "five and dime stores" like F.W.Woolworth and S.S.Kresge. In 1957, Morris Feinberg, the owner, retired, closed the business and turned over orders and contracts to a nearby company China Craft, which was owned by R.H.Brown who was formerly employed by Spaulding.
