First invented in 1928 by Swiss Jean-Leon Reutter and Jaeger LeCoultre. For the past 50 years it has been the official gift for diplomats by the Swiss Confederation. Notable Atmos Clock Owners include: John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Charles De Gaulle, Sir Winston Churchill, Pope Jean-Paul 2, Richard Nixon, Charlie Chaplin, James McDivitt and Edgar White, King Hussein of Jordan, Princess Irene of the Netherlands, Ronald Reagan, And many others.
