Lot 260
Design Copyrighted 1941.This die-cut cardboard sign was designed as point-of-sale marketing pieces, slipping directly over the neck of glass bottles sitting in ice-filled "drink boxes" at old country stores, diners, and filling stations to grab a customer's eye. The piece features a prominent graphic of a vintage wooden keg, emphasizing the traditional, "old-fashioned" brewing process of the root beer. It typically includes promotional text reading "Drink Swallow's Root Beer. Try a large bottle today. 5 cents. Healthful, refreshing" along with a explicit 1941 design copyright stamp.
