Description:

Made in USA: General Electric Company. It's frame is made of steel and it's glass face is just under 12" in diameter. The 1F412 was known as the "Commerce". The "12" on the 1F412 number indicates it has the larger, 12" dial making it more desirable among collectors. The largest dial made in this series was 15".You'll many times see clocks like this advertised as "School House Clocks". Despite the fact they were used quite a bit in schools, the fact remains they were still Commercial Clocks. Thousands of factories, banks, department stores, and yes, even power companies used them in every room. They were famous for their to-the-second timing, easy to read dials, and ability to withstand a beating.
