Signed by 3 Governors who became Presidents: Martin Van Buren 8th President of US (envelope from his personal stationary and marked FREE (free frank), Grover Cleveland 22nd & 24th President of US, Theodore Roosevelt 26th President of US. George Clinton was a delegate to the Continental Congress and a founding father, and Vice President to Thomas Jefferson & James Madison (signed twice), John Jay; second governor of US, founding father and president of the Continental Congress 1778-79. He was a signer on the Treaty of Paris by which Great Britain recognized American Independence, Chief Justice of the US from 1789 - 1795 appointed by George Washington. Also signed by other Vice Presidents, US Secretary's of State, US Secretary's of War, US Secretary of the Treasury, a Civil War General (John Adams Dix), etc.
