Rare Civil War period badge for the 2nd Regiment, Company L of the Massachusetts Volunteer Militia. This stamped brass badge measures 2" wide by 2 1/2" long and depicts 2 crossed Springfield model rifles behind a large eagle with wings stretched out! The engraving/chasing is wonderful and adds great detail. The MVM 2nd Regiment served along the coastline forts during the Civil War and were primarily assigned to Gloucester, Mass. We describe all items to the best of our ability as we are not experts on everything. Please ask specific questions on details or condition prior to bidding, ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS. We box and ship to keep costs low. We do not use a packaging service, unless the costumer prefers us to use them. We can ship either USPS or UPS
