Lot 267
The "S.S. Rapids Prince" was a steamship built by the Richelieu and Ontario Navigation Company in 1910 specifically to navigate the rapids of the St. Lawrence River. It was designed with features for both safety and passenger comfort, including large observation windows and a promenade deck. The ship was later acquired by Canada Steamship Lines (CSL) in 1913 and served as a troopship and hospital ship during wartime before returning to passenger service. Eventually, it was laid up in 1928 and scrapped in 1937.
