Description:

This is a very rare Royal Doulton pitcher with the words "Dogberry's Watch" written across the inside top in a slant line lettering. This is part of the Dickens ware series made by Royal Doulton to celebrate the 1912 centennial of Charles Dickens birth. The background is cream with several images across the top on the front. It is signed by the artist Noke. The motto's wording is "1st Watch--This Man Sir Said That Don John The Prince's Brother Was A Villain" from Shakespeare's "Midsummer's Night Dream".
