Description:

An early real photo postcard view of the 1910 Rochester (NY) Broncos/Hustlers Baseball Team of the old Eastern League. Photo by John Esterheld, Agent, Saturday Evening Post, Rochester, New York. Minor league research indicates the Rochester team was nicknamed the 'Broncos' until 1912, when they were renamed the 'Hustlers'. (By 1911 the Eastern League had been renamed the International League). However, this real photo postcard of the Rochester team, showing the players holding a placard in front that reads: "Hustlers 1910" reveals that the team in fact may have adopted the 'Hustlers' nickname prior to 1912.
