Rare Primitive Firkin dated 1775 to 1875 on the Lid. This piece has a beautiful patina and is a Fantastic example of an Early Americana Firkin and was made for the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition, the first Worlds Fair in the USA. This Centennial Exposition was held from May 10 to Nov 10 of 1876 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia. Please ask specific questions on details, condition, and shipping prior to bidding, ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS, and the bidder will be responsible for payment. We box and ship what we can to keep costs low, and use USPS and UPS. Large items, extremely fragile, and high value items will be packed by UPS. Quotes available on request
