AAA Champ Car Series race number 21 of 24 Saturday, October 9, 1909 at Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, PA 25 laps on a 8.000 mile street course (200.0 miles). Finished 3rd #8 Hugh Harding in Apperson. In the race was race car driver: Louis-Joseph Chevrolet was a Swiss-American race car driver, co-founder of the Chevrolet Motor Car Company in 1911, and a founder in 1916 of the Frontenac Motor Corporation. The race winner was: George H. Robertson (1884 – July 3, 1955) was an American race car driver. His father ran one of New York's first big garages and George grew up surrounded by Mors, Panhard's and other cars. He raced a Christie, a Hotchkiss, and a Simplex, as well as a Locomobile with which he won the 1908 Vanderbilt Cup. This victory was the first in the Cup by an American driver in an American car.
