Signed and dated '43 bottom right. Peter Driben was established as one of America's most recognized and successful pin-up and glamour artists. His paintings often appeared on the side of B17 bombers. During the war, his popular painting of American soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima sparked a considerable amount of media attention. Peter Driben studied at Le Sorbonne in Paris before he returned to New York. With his pin-ups valued and selling above $17,000, this is a chance for you to own an original.
