Highly detailed Antique French Victorian/Art Nouveau Listed (After) Paul Comolera (1818 - 1897). There is no frog present in his beak. Depicting the bird standing on a water plant-surrounded rocky outcropping, wings slightly spread, neck twisting, the base incised "P. Comolera", mounted on a stepped stone ebonized wood base or plinth; the original 19th century casting was "Heron with Frog," with the bird having a small amphibian in its beak. We describe all items to the best of our ability as we are not experts on everything.
