Beautiful all original Bronze medal issued for the National Women's Relief Corps. The organization was founded in 1883, and is the Auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR). It started originally to help raise money for Civil War Veterans and their families in need, as well as to keep the memory of the GAR alive. It still exists today! The pin is original and functions as it should. We describe all items to the best of our ability as we are not experts on everything. Please ask specific questions on details or condition prior to bidding, ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS. We box and ship to keep costs low. We do not use a packaging service, unless the costumer prefers us to use them. We can ship either USPS or UPS

  • The pin is original and functions as it should, and the ribbon is free of any rips or fraying! Wonderful aged patina and a patent date of 1886 on the reverse, so this is an early example!
