Broders war illustrations were extremely popular and noted for his striking use of symbols. Artist Biography: Born in Montreal, Canada on Aug. 4, 1906. Broder worked in San Francisco as a commercial artist from 1928 until retiring in the 1970s. He continued to paint fine art at his home in San Francisco until his demise on Oct. 28, 1992.
