Description:

Colored hand pulled etching by highly listed French artist Henri Alphonse Barnoin.  His auction records exceed $18,000 and works by him continue to be desired and sought after. The scene is of a classic French fishing port with boats and men noted by the affixed label on the reverse as Concarneau, Brittany, France and titled "The Blue Nets". Created in the early part of the 1900's, the colors are outstanding, and the work shows little if any issues.  Re-fitted under glass using the original oak frame, but with new conservation grade mating. Signed in pencil lower right and noted in pencil as an artist proof lower left. Original label on the back attached to dust cover.
