Description:

These leather boots are of Regulation Officer grade having wood peg & square nail soles, and with burlap/cotton striped colored pulls. They are square-tied so as to be worn on either foot, which was standard during Civil War era. Made from separate sewn pieces of leather and condition is superlative showing only light wear from use. The Leather is amazingly supple and they been stored and cared for properly for generations, and it is evident. Acquired from a distinguished New York Family estate with D.A.R. ties and distant relatives of a Civil War General. We describe all items to the best of our ability as we are not experts on everything. Please ask specific questions on details or condition prior to bidding, ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS. We box and ship to keep costs low. We do not use a packaging service, unless the costumer prefers us to use them. We can ship either USPS or UPS
