Description:

Civil War Sword Belt Plate buckle has a great patina, and retains 100% of the applied German silver wreath. The buckle is batch numbered 927 and the keeper is batch numbered 868. The original black tared leather belt is not marked that can be seen, but has the brass adjuster and brass loop still intact. We describe all items to the best of our ability as we are not experts on everything. Please ask specific questions on details or condition prior to bidding, ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS. We box and ship to keep costs low. We do not use a packaging service, unless the costumer prefers us to use them. We can ship either USPS or UPS

    Condition:
  • The belt plate and all brass attachments exhibit some age patina but are not damaged in any way. The leather shows crazing to the tared surface as is common and there is partial separation where the thread has deteriorated, yet, is very stable and surprisingly still supple. The buckle is in Extra Fine++ condition with hardly any wear and also has the much desired narrow tongue.
