A small group of three photographs related to the John F. Kennedy assassination and Jackie Kennedy. Of varying sizes, dating from 1963 to 1970. Two of the photographs are a UPI Telephoto and an AP Wirephoto taken the day of Kennedy's assassination. The final photograph is of Jackie Onassis, taken by controversial paparazzi photographer Ron Galella. The photographs are housed in a custom clamshell case. Includes: 1. UPI Telephoto, measuring 9" x 7", Dallas, May 22, 1964. Published for the six-month anniversary of the assassination. Showing the presidential limousine driving in the parade just moments before John F. Kennedy was shot. With a caption at the top of the image. Stamped on verso with a UPIP stamp and the date May 25, 1964. 2. AP Wirephoto, measuring 7.5" x 9.75", New York, dated November 29, 1963. Assassination Sequence No. 2., with two images. Kennedy is shown slumped over towards his wife after having been shot before falling into her lap. 3. Ron Galella Photo, measuring 8" x 10", [Capri, Italy], n.d. [August 24, 1970]. A paparazzi image of Jackie Onassis speaking to a waiter at a caf'. According to Galella, Onassis was instructing the waiter to "call the police and 'arrest that man'." With a Ron Galella backstamp. Galella was known for his obsession with taking photographs of the former First Lady and was sued numerous times by Onassis. The 1972 trial Galella v. Onassis resulted in a restraining order, but Galella was found guilty of breaking this order at least four times and faced a serious fine and jail time before settling out of court.
