It is made in Germany and it is marked 422. A Waldfee is a female divinity inhabiting a forest or a tree, especially an oak tree. Drawn from Druidic tradition, these cousins to the mythological Greek Dryad appear regularly in German art and literature. Great detail in green, cream, and brown, forest scene showing with town, farm and fields on one side, stag with doe on the other, and a plumed horseback rider in period costume approaching a "Forest Fairy" on the front, who of course holds a horn of beer for him.
