Description:

It is missing the windmill and the guy. The McDowell Toy Company was located in Pittsburgh PA and in business for a short amount of time in the early 1900s. It's believed that McDowell is connected to the Wolverine toy company at some point-- Pittsburgh was the center of metal toy industry at this time. It's designed to pour the sand in the top and the little guy moves up and down and the windmill turns while the sand goes through little metal cups inside and comes out the spout on the side.
