Description:

Unmarked but well cataloged as Weller, the Luxor line was produced c. 1910 when the fascination with all things Egypt was at its peak. The vase has a matte finish in greige (a warm gray color with beige undertones) with accents in green, pink and ochre. It has an elongated design on both sides and pink flowers on the top and bottom, the interior is shiny turquoise. The Luxor line was part of the Egyptian Revival period. Luxor is a town in Egypt on the Nile and contains the ruins of ancient Thebes.
