An early, English majolica Birds Nest pitcher, maker unknown, circa 1875. A wonderful example of a desirable mold in unusual bright majolica glazing. Showing a design of a mother and father bird feeding a nest of babies. The nest rests in a leafy branch and is surrounded by green ivy. The cream colored ground is modeled as a tree trunk. Molded crisply in high relief, the design repeats on both sides. A soft pink interior. Please ask specific questions on details, condition, and shipping prior to bidding, ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS, and the bidder will be responsible for payment.
