Description:

The nib is 14K gold plated. An interesting piece, this double inkstand has two depressions for pens on either of the longer sides. The Bakelite tops are marked Sengbusch Self Closing Inkstand, Milwaukee, Wis., Pat. April 21, '03, Aug. 23, '04, and Jan 15, '07. The hefty one and one-half pound inkwells are simply cut with beveled edges all around. These are 3" long by 3" wide by 3 1/8" high. The base has a beveled top edge and two square depressions which fit the wells, with a little flourish at the corners. It has a green cast, the inkwells do not.
