This rare glass jar is a Mason's Improved fruit jar from the Clyde Glass Works Co., circa 1903-1915. In 1895 the Clyde Glass Works company started operating the factory this jar was made in. It has the embossed words "MASON'S IMPROVED" on the front with the symbol for CFJCO in between, which stands for Consolidated Fruit Jar Co. The back has the words "CLYDE NY". It has a zinc screw band closure and the bottom has J56.
