Princess Angeline (born Kikisoblu, c. 1820 May 31, 1896) was the eldest daughter of Chief Seattle. She lived in a waterfront cabin in Seattle, supported herself by washing laundry and weaving baskets, and became a famous local symbol of the city's changing era. Birthplace: Born near modern-day Rainier Beach in Seattle, Washington. Name: Given the name "Angeline" by pioneer Catherine Maynard. Home: Refused to leave Seattle for a reservation, living in a small wooden shack on Western Avenue near Pike Street. Warning: Credited with warning Seattle settlers about an impending attack during the 1856 Battle of Seattle.
