Oval silvered brass struck uniface copy of the original 1792 George Washington Indian Peace Medal engraved by Philadelphia silversmith Joseph Richardson and donated by the Sons of the Revolution Society to the Buffalo Historical Society in 1902; depicts standing figures of an Indian in feather headdress and George Washington facing each other, Indian smoking long peace pipe, tomahawk at his feet; plowing scene in background; inscription at upper right of field: "FAC-SIMILE./ORIGINAL IN POSSESSION OF/BUFFALO HISTORICAL SOCIETY/PRESENTED BY S. of. R. 1902."; inscription in exergue: "GEORGE WASHINGTON./PRESIDENT/1792." Medal suspended on red, white, and blue grosgrain silk ribbon drawn through two circular loops attached at top center.
