Beautifully woven silk ribbon bookmark ribbon from the 1876 U.S.A. centennial featuring "The Father of Our Country" George Washington. "The first in peace The first in war, the first in the hearts of his countrymen. Produced for the 1876 nation's centennial in Philadelphia. Stevengraph Company. Complete with the original tassel still attached at the bottom. The Centennial International Exhibition was the first official World's Fair in the United States. It was held in Philadelphia May 10 to November 10, 1876, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It is on green felt but the framed is missing. Please ask specific questions on details, condition, and shipping prior to bidding, ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS, and bidder will be responsible for payment.
