After the Civil War the Irish Fenian Independence Movement launched raids into Canada from the U.S. Canadian Volunteer Militia Units were organized to counter the threat. Most of the Fenian Raiders were Civil War Veterans , North & South. The Asplet and Green studio at 18½ Beresford Street was active from 1866 – 1875 and many Cartes de Visite can still be found. Prior to working with Green, Asplet worked from 1864 to 1865 with Berger at 20½ Beresford Street. John Green worked solo after his partnership with Asplet from 1876 - 1882. Please ask specific questions on details, condition, and shipping prior to bidding, ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS, and the bidder will be responsible for payment.
