Antique pair of 14K Gold one piece Bifocal lensed Pince-nez eyeglasses with case included. Pince-nez is a style of glasses, popular in the 19th century, that are supported without earpieces, by pinching the bridge of the nose. The name comes from French pincer, "to pinch", and nez, "nose". Most popular around 1880's to early 1900's. The entire frame of the glasses is made out of 14K Gold which is marked on inside of metal piece that connects the top of the lenses together. There is a lovely design in the gold throughout the entire frame. The left lens is also a bifocal lens & has a very tiny dent but overall the glasses are in very condition.
