Description:

Made to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of Bermuda, by Spanish explorer Juan Bermúdez in 1505. Produced and minted by the British Royal Mint, it is the world's FIRST 5 sided kilo coin and only 250 were made, and this is #59. Made from a kilo (2.2 pounds) .999 fine silver, and 24 karat gold plating to enhance the image. A penny is shown in a photo for size comparison to give you an idea of just how large it is. The obverse depicts a sailing ship like the one Bermudez would of sailed, inside a compass that's laid over a map of Bermuda. The reverse depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth ll. It has never been removed from the plastic capsule, and is housed in the original Royal Mint case. Also has the COA and information brochure. A work of numismatic art and a fine precious metals investment. We describe all items to the best of our ability as we are not experts on everything.
