Description:

The Base Coin: Struck by the U.S. Mint, it is an authentic legal-tender silver dollar featuring Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty design on the front (obverse) and John Mercanti's heraldic eagle on the back (reverse). The Colorization: The color layer (depicting Lady Liberty in a vibrant red, white, and blue gown against a rising sun) was applied aftermarket by private mints and specialized coin companies using high-quality enameling or ink processes. The "Millennium" Appeal: Because it was released in the year 2000, it was heavily marketed as the "First Silver Dollar of the Millennium," making it a nostalgic gift and keepsake.
