Extensive illustration with b&w drawings and photographs; pp.374 incl. appendix and index; no dj. Very early and rare volume, perhaps the first instruction in "CSI." Instruction in identification utilizing fingerprints, facial reconstruction, fragmentary remains, moles and birthmarks, sweat pores, etc. The main author was Professor of Zoology in Smith College, while the second author and signee of this volume, was former Police Commissioner of Dover, New Hampshire.
