It comes in a frame behind glass. It was made in New York by The United States Printing & Lithograph Co. Poster showing a little girl with a ribbon in her hair, clutching a Liberty Loan bond. It has No. 11-A on the bottom left. Date Created / Published: 1917. World War I propaganda poster. US WWI Lithographs were used during 1917 and 1918 to encourage citizens to buy Liberty Bonds, special charitable appeals, conserve food and goods and enforce patriotism. Since the federal government had banned commercial radio, the posters were needed to spread these messages. Many of the works were commissioned by well-known artists of the day.
