Lot 181

Published by London: Macmillan, 1885. A collection of 10 brief but humorous stories from Lewis Carroll, each presenting a mathematical problem. In the publisher's original cloth binding. With 6 illustrations by American artist Arthur B. Frost. Collated, complete. States 'Second Thousand' to title page. These stories were originally published serially from 1880-1885 in The Monthly Packet magazine.
