This Auction is for the Estate of Richard Leenhouts, who was born and raised in Western New York State.  This is his collection of coins, that he had for sale, as a dealer for MANY years.
 
He specialized in appraisals for Banks, Insurance Companies, Estates, etc.  Private & Confidential Consultations Given to Collectors, Speculators, or Investors.  He was a member of the American Numismatics Association for over 50 years, Rochester Numismatics Association, and Wayne County Coin Club. 
 

***All writing and markings on the coin holders (cardboard, tubes, envelopes, etc) were done by Richard.  ANY CONDITION REPORT was made by his markings only, not by our knowledge.  You must make a determination on your own if you will trust his grading, there are no gaurantees on the validity***

 

After Graduating from High School in 1949, Richard spent fourteen and a half years in the U.S. Army. It was during this time in his life that he became interested in collecting coins & later became a dealer.

 

After the Army, Richard was the manager for his father's supermarket.  

He later managed Hegedorns Supermarket in Webster, NY for Five and a Half Years includeing Hegedorns Imperial IGA.  Richard then proceeded to manage the Wegmans Supermarket for the next year and a half.

 Richard was a life member of the Williamson Conservation and Sporting Club.  He was also a life member and past commander of American Legion Post #394.  He has been a trustee of the American Legion for the past 14 years.

 

Richard joined  "Farm Family Insurance Company" in 1970 as an Insurance Agent. The year of 2010 marked the 40th year of his association with Farm Family.  was a member of the "Senior Hall of Fame."
